VKGI Learning
Centre
One of the major goals of VKGI is to improve the professionalism of teachers, so as to offer a competent workforce to the education fraternity. VKGI strongly believes that training and development of teachers is an indispensable function, in an ever changing and fast paced world. Training and development is one of the least ignored priorities of most schools, but VKGI is one of the forerunners at the persistence of the human resources department.
In 2017, VKGI established a Learning Centre to build the capacity of the teachers continuously and to make every teacher an individual resource system, in order to benefit the school community. LC is not limited to the school, perhaps involving in educational research, publication of research findings and to establish linkages with Government and Private schools for resource sharing and collaborating with the indented outcomes of:
• Sharing good practice/professional expertise
• Raising achievement/attainment of the learners
• School improvement/raising standards
• Breaking down barriers and
• Enriching learning opportunities.
In the journey of five years enormous value has been added to organize appropriate training and development sessions for the teachers and administrative staff. Training helped the staff to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, perform better, increase productivity and be better leaders. VKGI trained thousands of teachers on teaching, learning and assessment processes and continues to prove that the staff are meeting National and International standards in imparting the curriculum which fosters the holistic development of the learner.
