Owing to the supply shortage of a “critical” trim component, in September 2024, Ineos Automotive announced Grenadier and Grenadier Quartermaster production has been put on hold. Initially, with no estimation on when production will resume, the British marque hoped that it would be towards the end of 2024 or early in 2025, but no later.
Fortunately, following the firm finding a solution for the supply woes, Ineos Automotive has now announced Grenadier and Grenadier Quartermaster production will restart from early January 2025 at its Hambach manufacturing facility in France.

“It’s great news that a solution has been found so quickly,” said Lynn Calder, CEO of Ineos Automotive. “Automotive supply chains are extremely complex, but we were not willing to compromise on quality, so we are satisfied that we have found the best possible outcome.”
According to Calder, the brand has sold as many Grenadier models in summer as it had during the whole of 2023. Calder added that the company is “on track” to have “over” 20 000 Grenadier models on the road before the end of the year. In addition, Calder says the automaker expects 2025 to be their best year yet, especially with Ineos Automotive’s expansion into “major” new markets — bringing the firm’s global footprint to 50 countries.

“By this summer we had sold as many Grenadiers as we had for the whole of 2023, and are on track to have over 20 000 Grenadiers on the road before the end of this year. We now turn our attention to preparing Hambach to restart in early January, and with significant growth in major new markets – including China and Mexico – and substantial expansion in the US, I believe 2025 is going to be our best year yet,” said Calder.
