In a bid to offer customers even more value for money, Citroën South Africa has introduced a new entry-level derivative to its C3 Aircross model range. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for the newcomer…

The budget-oriented addition to the local Citroën C3 Aircross model line-up is equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, which, unlike the turbo-triple employed by its C3 Aircross stablemates, goes without breathing apparatus. The naturally aspirated unit produces 61 kW and 115 N.m of torque, exclusively sent to the front axle via a five-speed manual cog swapper. Citroën claims the atmospheric motor sips, on average, 6.2 L/100 km, making it 0.1 L/100 km more efficient than the 81 kW/205 N.m turbocharged PureTech three-pot.

Exclusively available in Plus level of specification, the opening gambit to the C3 Aircross range is priced from R269 900. Included with each variant are a four-year/60 000 km service plan and a warranty spanning five years or 100 000 km.
