Under the metal, the B8 GT features the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 found in the B5 GT. Tuned by Alpina, the N63 engine delivers 460 kW and 850 N.m of torque, courtesy of revised air boxes, a sport exhaust system and a remapped ECU. This powerhouse propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, with 200 km/h arriving just 3.9 seconds later. The top speed is an impressive 330 km/h.
Visually, the B8 GT distinguishes itself with carbon fibre upgrades. The front apron air ducts, rear diffuser and side dive planes receive bespoke designs. Signature “B8 GT” lettering adorns the B-pillars, and Burkard Bovensiepen’s signature graces the door sills. Adding to its exclusivity, the model sits on 21-inch Alpina Classic wheels.
The interior has leather on almost every surface, including leather piping on the floor mats and cargo mats for a touch of elegance. Adding to the luxury, Alpina outfits the headliner with Alcantara and installs aluminium shift paddles for a refined feel. The eight-speed automatic transmission also benefits from a software upgrade to manage the increased torque effectively.

Customers can choose from iconic Alpina Blue and Green II or opt for unique shades like Arctic Race Blue, Purple Silk, Enigmatic Black, Verdant Green Pearl, and Crystal Casserit Black. Retro-inspired side decals in Carbon Metallic enhance its visual appeal. Additionally, 20 units will feature rare two-tone combinations, pairing Black Sapphire with either Blue or Green II.
The Alpina B8 GT’s refined aesthetics and potent performance set it apart as the ultimate iteration of the Gran Coupe. However, its rarity ensures it will remain a prized possession for a select few. With only 99 units planned, the B8 GT is both a celebration of ALPINA’s legacy and a tribute to the BMW 8 Series.
